S&M Recruitment is seeking a vigilant and professional CCTV Operator to join a busy security operations team based in Sinoville, Pretoria.
We are looking for someone with excellent observation skills who can effectively monitor CCTV systems, identify suspicious activities, respond to incidents promptly, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate is observant, reliable and professional, with the ability to remain focused for extended periods while monitoring surveillance systems. Strong communication skills, integrity and sound judgement are essential.
Responsibilities
Monitor multiple CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.
Observe and report suspicious or unusual activities.
Record incidents accurately and prepare incident reports.
Escalate security concerns to the relevant personnel.
Maintain detailed occurrence and activity logs.
Monitor alarm systems where applicable.
Follow company security procedures and protocols.
Communicate effectively with control room staff and security personnel.
Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning correctly and report faults.
Maintain confidentiality of all monitored information.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience as a CCTV Operator or in a security control room.
Excellent observation and attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Computer literacy.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
Clear criminal record.
Reside in or near Pretoria.
Preferred Requirements
PSIRA Registration (Grade C or higher preferred).
CCTV/Control Room certification.
Previous experience in a monitoring or control room environment.
Experience using CCTV management software.
Knowledge of incident reporting procedures.
Own reliable transport.
